A third consecutive democratic government in Pakistan is going to take the Charge Of Pakistan. Democracy is an evolving process, a self-establishing government. Democracy is a Greek word composed of two parts respectively; demos means The people while Kratos means the rule of the people.
The Islamic Republic of Pakistan had been a good star ever since 1947 for its democratic government system. Reviving the history of the ever-lasting three consecutive democratic governments in Pakistan is indeed a proof of better governance in future.
The first democratic rule in Pakistan was during 1988-1990. First democratic elections were held where Pakistan Peoples Party won. However, Ayub Khan using the 18th amendment dismissed her from the post of Prime Minister of Pakistan.
The second Democratic rule was held in 1990 and lasted till 1993. In this era, Parliamentary elections were held by the election commision in which Pakistan Muslim League gained the throne of government.
However, the Nawaz government was encountered a similar fate and thus was overthrown by the dictator Khan. The third democratic rule was since 1993 and lasted till 1996.
At this time again elections were held and PPP won General Election Of Pakistan. Benazir Bhutto takes the oath as Prime Minister of Pakistan. The corruption was at its height. 1996 President Farooq Laghari disposed of his government.
Fourth Democratic Rule in Pakistan started in 1997 and lasted till 1999. 1997 parliamentary elections were held as a result of which Pakistan Muslim League won the game.
They made their power stronger by the nuclear tests in 1998. However, 1999 was the end of Nawaz region as Musharaf took over the government.
Therefore, from 1999-2008 in Musharaf’s era where elections conducted in 2002 and Pakistan Muslim League(Q) won the General Election who proved to be loyal supporters of President Musharaf and he ruled Pakistan for more than 8 years. While PML-Q ruled for about 6 years till 2007 respectively.
A third consecutive democratic government in Pakistan basically started after 2008 when Pakistan Peoples Party governed over the country.
And then on its end, 2013 was Pakistan Muslim League’s government while the new era is of the new democratic Kaptan’s Naya Pakistan is a democratic government. These define the three consecutive democratic governments in Pakistan.
